A George III Period Mahogany Tall Chest of Drawers (c. 1770 England)

This finely made and stately piece of George III period furniture is most unusual with an arcaded and dart detail top moulding, very much in the manner of John Linnell. Other marks of quality are the extra bead mouldings to the frieze and base moulding, the arched overhang to the top and the generous ogee feet.

This would be perfect in a hall or reception room with a marvellous piece of ceramic or sculpture displayed on it - just a thought!
