A George II period mahogany drop leaf table (c. 1740 English)

A George II period mahogany drop leaf table on turned taper legs and pad feet. Such a simple, stylish and useful piece of furniture. I think that this would be an ideal table for 'all seasons' - with a leaf down and against the wall it makes a perfect desk; with both leaves down, a side table; and opened up and drawn into the room a supper table.
