A George II period mahogany tripod table. (1750 English)

A George II period tripod table with understated square top over a superb tripod base with a fluted column, spiral turned knop and wonderfully swept cabriole legs with shaped pad feet on leather castors.

A proper Georgian supper table for four! While this table would look very stylish as a centre table it would also work rather well, as intended, with a set of four chairs, such as the Mainwaring ones we have. Perhaps you are furnishing a new city apartment, the breakfast room in the townhouse or one of the drawing rooms in the house in the country. In any event this table laid for supper, framed by the wonderful backs of these chairs would look ever so inviting.
